So, who am I?
My name is Chris Burrows, I am 23 years old and come from Manchester. I am a web design and illustration freelancer and can provide services for anyone, from businesses to individuals.
My specialty is creating visually stunning websites which fully comply with the latest web standards using CSS to it’s full potential. The websites I create are all coded correctly using the W3C markup and contain no errors. You can find more information about W3C standards here.
What are my interests?
I have many, many interests and cannot possibly name them all, but I will try. Playing guitar constantly is probably my main vice at the moment, I can’t get enough of it. I play an American standard Fender Telecaster in natural and maple, it is a thing of beauty!
Obviously I love music, doesn’t everyone? My favourite artists are Jeff Buckley, Air, Bat For Lashes, Bjork, Boards of Canada, Bob Dylan, Cat Power, David Bowie, Eric Clapton, Gomez, Incubus, John Lennon, Kings Of Leon, Led Zeppelin, Massive Attack, Nick Drake, Pink Floyd, Richard Hawley, The Smiths, The Stone Roses, Tosca and The Who. Just to name a few!
I watch films whenever I get the chance to. A few which I really enjoy are Juno, Withnail and I, V For Vendetta, The Virgin Suicides, American Psycho, Reign Over Me, Snow Angels, The Bourne Trilogy, Before Sunrise & Before Sunset, Batman Begins, Garden State and Forgetting Sarah Marshall. I also love watching Friends, Scrubs, Top Gear and Smallville on television.
Tools of the trade
I am obsessed with anything made by Apple so you can probably guess that I own a Mac, a Mac Pro to be more specific, which is the ultimate power fest and hasn’t let me down once! I run OS X Leopard which is to me the most perfect operating system to have ever been released. My Mac also runs Windows XP, if I ever need it…
Being a design addict, I couldn’t resist buying the Adobe CS3 Web Premium software, which includes, Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop Extended, Illustrator, Fireworks, Acrobat and Contribute. There isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t consider this one of the best buys I have ever made!
